Bully Has Been Newly-Rated For Multiple Platforms (But Don’t Get Too Excited)

Don't rub it in.

What Rockstar game would you most like to be ported to current platforms like the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S? If you said Red Dead Redemption 2, you are correct, but unfortunately that’s not what this is about.

Instead, a few hours ago it was reported that Bully, Rockstar’s 2006 diversion from its usual GTA fare starring a bunch of awful school kids and even worse faculty, has been given fresh ratings on pretty much every modern platform (except Switch) via the Taiwan Ratings Board.

And while that could potentially mean exciting things, as many have pointed out – including Gematsu in an update to its original story – there’s a much bigger chance that this is simply in relation to the game being added to the (recently-more-expensive) GTA+ subscription, which the company announced was happening just a couple of weeks ago.

Bully is currently available on PS4, via PS2 emulation, and Xbox One via the backward-compatible Xbox 360 version of Bully: Scholarship Edition, as well as various versions for PC and mobile, which does still make the specific PS5 and Xbox Series X|S ratings a little curious – but we’re not holding out a huge amount of hope for any especially exciting news.

There’s still clearly an appetite for this oddball bit of Rockstar’s back catalogue, with rumours of sequels cropping up every now and then and never substantiating, and moments like this generating a bit of buzz among those hopeful for some kind of re-release or remaster that isn’t just a no-frills port.

You can see the new ratings for Bully on the Taiwan Ratings Board right here, if you’re curious.
