Funko Fusion, the new franchise-fueled action-adventure from the team of ex-LEGO veterans at 10:10 Games, is very quickly approaching its slated September 13th release date, and the studio is still busy revealing new characters and worlds for the game.
Today’s announcement is an especially exciting one, as it’s been revealed that none other than Mega Man will be joining the rosters that already includes IP such as Jurassic World, Invincible, Hot Fuzz, JAWS, Battlestar Galactica, M3GAN, Five Nights at Freddy’s, Xena: Warrior Princess, Chucky and heaps more.
Also announced alongside Mega Man and available right now, is a demo of the game just for PC players, giving them the opportunity to play through the first level of the game world based on The Thing. You’ll be able to explore Outpost 31, fight enemies, collect items and solve puzzles all within the trappings of the iconic 1982 horror classic. And this PC demo also includes extra hidden characters to find and try out – including the just-announced Mega Man.
You can find the demo on Steam here, and check out a Mega Man trailer below:
I recently had the chance to check out a lengthy preview of the game, playing the Jurassic World and Hot Fuzz levels, and wrote,
“Based on just a few hours of play, Funko Fusion definitely seems like it has the right stuff to please a mix of gamers, whether you’re in it for the endless barrage of IP worship or the solid action and collectathon puzzle-platforming. If the thought of a Funko Pop! is enough to make you roll your eyes, I doubt it’s going to set them back straight, but so far I reckon it’s made of just the right bait to hook the crowd of millennial gamers it’s clearly angling for.”
Funko Fusion launches on September 13th for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with PS5 and Switch versions arriving in November. You can pre-order it here.
