Pokewalk Will Take Your Phone And Bring It Back With More Pokemon

Pokewalk is a brand new venture out of San Francisco. You’ll be able to request similarly to Uber, which will trigger somebody to pick up your phone, walk it around to catch Pokemon and return it to you with a full battery and a ton more Pokemon. At the time of this post, the company is touting that the service will cost $10 USD for 2km, $15 USD for 5km and $20 USD for 10km.

I’m going to be honest, when I stumbled across the website, I wasn’t 100% sure if the company was legit or taking the piss. After reading through the website and the company’s social, it would appear that a lot of effort has gone into this. The website also claims that they’ve received 4 million dollars in funding from top Silicon Valley venture firms.

The service hasn’t yet launched, but the company has a mailing list which you can sign up to stay informed. It’s also not clear if the service is something that’ll launch primarily in America or worldwide. I’m sure that Australians would feel a lot safer giving their phone out than Americans, though.
