How To Transfer Pokemon From Pokemon GO To Let’s GO Pokemon

I’ve been waiting Pokemon GO integration to hit Pokemon Let’s GO for the better half of a week. It finally hit this morning, bringing a bunch of goodies with it.

HOW TO CONNECT POKEMON GO TO POKEMON LET’S GO

This is probably the most difficult of any of the functionality of Pokemon Let’s GO + Pokemon GO.

IN POKEMON GO (APP)

  1. Open the Pokemon GO app and hit the Main Menu button.
  2. Open settings and tap Nintendo Switch
  3. Hit Connect to Nintendo Switch which will put Pokemon GO into pairing mode

IN LET’S GO POKEMON (SWITCH)

  1. Open your Nintendo Switch and hit X to get into the Main Menu
  2. Press Y to get into the options menu
  3. Head into Open Pokemon GO Settings
  4. Hit yes on the ‘Would you like to pair your game with a Pokemon GO account’

The two should now link meaning that your Pokemon GO account and copy of Let’s GO will be linked. There’s no limit to how many Pokemon GO accounts that you can connect to Pokemon Let’s GO.

HOW TO TRANSFER POKEMON FROM POKEMON GO TO POKEMON LET’S GO

You actually need to make it to Fuschia City before you can transfer any Pokemon across to Let’s GO. This is probably the third or fourth town that you visit, so it’s a good chunk of the way through the game.

IN LET’S GO POKEMON (SWITCH)

  1. Head into the Pokemon GO Park Complex in Fuschia City and talk to the attendant
  2. Select ‘Bring Pokemon’ from the menu

IN POKEMON GO (APP)

  1. Open Pokemon GO and tap the Pokemon icon
  2. You can then tap the Nintendo Switch icon in the top right corner
  3. You will have to choose each Pokemon that you want to send (Kanto and Alolan forms only)
  4. Tap send to Nintendo Switch to send all of your Pokemon to a Pokemon GO Park Safari (These Pokemon will no longer be in Pokemon GO)

HOW TO CATCH POKEMON FROM THE GO PARK COMPLEX

Once you send a Pokemon from Pokemon GO to Pokemon Let’s GO, it’ll go in 1 of 25 parks. You just need to find that Pokemon in the designated park that you sent it to in order to catch it and have it join your party for use in battle in-game.

It cannot return to the park once you’ve caught it and the difficulty will depend on the level of the Pokemon from your Pokemon GO account.
