Carrion Has Sold 200,000 Copies In Its First Week

In another win for Devolver Digital and the small independent studio behind the game, Carrion has seen monster sales in its first week on the market.

The game has managed to sell 200,000 copies in its first week after releasing for Xbox One, Switch and PC on July 23.

It’s also been said that “hundreds of thousands of players” had given the game a go on Xbox Game Pass, which suggests that the player base for Carrion, for a game that’s only a week old, is absolutely huge.

We loved the game and we’re pleased for both developer and publisher that the game has been as popular as it has, especially for a game that’s such a unique twist on the monster-horror genre.

To further celebrate the game’s success, a “Behind the Screams” video has been released which details the emotional toll of creating the game, as told from the perspective of the starring monster who, of course, has featured heavily in the promotion for the game.
