Nintendo has announced that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is coming to Nintendo Switch. The game is launching on July 16th.
The game originally released on the Nintendo Wii with a Wii Motion Plus expansion with a heavy reliance on motion controls. These motion controls have been pulled over to the Joy-Con controllers, but the game can be played using traditional controls in handheld mode or on the TV. The sword has now been assigned to the right analogue stick, which seems like it’ll be a great way to mimic these motion controls.
Nintendo is also releasing a set of Joy-Con to celebrate the Zelda franchise. These will release on the same day on July 16th).
