Here’s The Aussie Pricing For The Expanded Nintendo Switch Online Membership

Nintendo has announced what we’ll be paying for the recently-announced Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership tier, which includes all of the current benefits of a Nintendo Switch Online membership plus access to a library of Nintendo 64 and SEGA Mega Drive Games.

Per year, the new membership will cost users AU $59.95 (NZ $69.95)  for 12 months for an individual, while a Family Membership will be AU $109.95. (NZ $119.95)

It’s a fairly steep jump up in price, equating to pretty much double the current tier at AU $29.95/$54.95 respectively. We do now know of even more additional benefits to the subscription though, with Nintendo having announced the pricing during the recent Animal Crossing: New Horizons Direct, where it also announced that the game’s big new Happy Home Paradise DLC (valued at AU $37.50/ NZ $41.25) would also be included for members.

Existing Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will be able to keep going with the standard tier, or upgrade to the Expansion Pack at a prorated cost based on their current subscription status. It seems as though at this stage the new membership will only be offered in 12 month blocks, as opposed to the 1 and 3 month options currently offered.
