The rumours of some kind of Metroid Prime Remaster or collection has been around for years. With the release of Metroid Prime 4 still on the way, it looks like we’re set to see at least the original game remastered just in time for the game’s 20th anniversary this November.
This is according to Jeff Grubb who took to the Giant Bomb show this morning to talk about what he knew about the game. According to Grubb the original Prime will get the proper remaster treatment, whilst Metroid Prime 2 and 3 will likely just be re-released on the Nintendo Switch with new controls.
I think we can safely say at this point that we’ll be hearing about Metroid Prime Remastered at some point in the near future. Whilst Nintendo is holding a Nintendo Direct tonight, I feel like we probably won’t see this one tonight.
