Update: It seems that Sony inevitably caught wind of The Last Hope and its blatant The Last Of Us But It’s Shit vibes, with the game having now disappeared from the Nintendo Switch eShop and (as reported by Eurogamer) copyright claims bringing down any trailers for the game on YouTube. Oops.

Before you go out and withdraw that $700 cash to spend on a PlayStation 5 console (I assume people still withdraw cash for things), what if I told you that one of the platform’s best exclusives is also available on a competitor’s machine? No, not PC, that ruins my story. I’m talking about the Nintendo Switch, and Naughty Dog’s hugely-successful blockbuster epic.
You’ve played the games, you’ve seen the HBO adaptation starring fresh-faced newcomer, Pedro Pascal, now relive the gut-wrenching life and death story of two survivors in a world overrun by zombies, wait the undead remains of every plant I’ve ever killed no, actually they are zombies in this one – The Last Hope – Dead Zone Survival.
Take the gripping narrative with you wherever you go as “Brian” and “Eve” set out across a post-apocalyptic land in search of freedom aboard the S.S. Mockbuster, surviving hordes of zombies in a world where that predates the invention of physics or shadows, but apparently does involve time machines for some reason. Remember all the time machine bits in The Last of Us?
Anyway, this game came out a week ago on the Nintendo Switch eShop and is “discounted” to $1.65 from a price point of $14.90 so I really think you should pick it up. It’s kind of like when I’m broke and have to buy my chicken nuggies from ALDI – sure they don’t taste as good, but nobody can definitively guarantee they’re shortening my life expectancy any more than the other ones.
