It’s finally happening. Nintendo’s promised major Nintendo Direct for June has set a date, and there won’t be long to wait at all because it’s happening tonight (or, tomorrow depending on who you ask and what state they live in).
Nintendo has said the Direct will be roughly 40 minutes long and focus on games coming in the second half of 2024, which bodes well for its line-up for the rest of the year if it’s packing enough for that long of a presentation. There are already a number of possible reveals thanks to early leaks and accidental listings, like an update for Among Us and potentially a shadow drop of the Beyond Good & Evil remaster. Hell, that recent Epic Games Store leak could even give us something Final Fantasy IX-related (probably not, but I’m allowed to dream!)
Amusingly, Nintendo has yet again stressed that there will be no mention of the successor console to the Nintendo Switch during this Direct.
