Nintendo has finally given us a deep dive into the next world joining Nintendo World Japan and it’s none-other than Donkey Kong Country. It’s finally opening at Universal Japan on December 11th before beginning to come to other locations starting next year.
As someone who has recently been to Nintendo World (in LA), Donkey Kong World looks incredibly detailed and totally different from Super Mario World.
Just like in the games, you’ll be able to summon Rambi by banging on the congas and you’ll be able to find the KONG letters and scan them with a brand new power-up band.
As far as food goes, there’s a new DK Crush Sundae as well as a DK Wild Hot Dog both with super cute retro art that comes with the food which you can get from the Jungle Beat Shakes. Obviously you’ll be able to meet the Kong himself as well and he looks larger than life.
Funky’s Fly N Buy features with a bunch of Donkey Kong merchandise with the iconic plane being there in full force just like it is in the game.
Upon entering the Golden Temple, you’ll find the Mine Cart Madness ride and when you think of rides that could match the Donkey Kong games this rollercoaster fits perfectly. We only got a sneak peak of the ride including quick looks at Cranky Kong and Dixie Kong, but it’s very clear that the coaster will jump from track to track and complete darkness.
