In a massive announcement, the first new Ninja Gaiden game in over a decade is on the way and it’s coming this year.
Team Ninja and Platinum Games in collaboration with Xbox Game Studio Publishing has announced Ninja Gaiden 4, a brand new entry into the franchise is coming later this year to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
The game features a brand new protagonist named Yakumo with fan favourite character Ryu also returning to the game. It takes place in what is described as a gruesomely transformed Tokyo with the city being in chaos.
Just like previous Ninja Gaiden games, this will be a pacey action game with new mechanics including traversal using wires and rails with combat described as blending new and old elements.
With this announcement alongside Ninja Gaiden 2 Black (out today), it’s very clear that Ninja Gaiden is back in a big way.
