Nintendo has announced that it will hold a Donkey Kong Bananza focused Nintendo Direct this week. It will last 15 minutes and feature information about the game ahead of its July 17th release date.

The Donkey Kong Bananza Nintendo Direct is taking place on Wednesday, June 18th at the below times:
- 11:00pm AEST (Melbourne/Sydney/Hobart/Canberra/Brisbane)
- 10:30pm ACST (Adelaide, Darwin)
- 9:00pm AWST (Perth)
- 01:00am (Thursday) NZST (Wellington)

It’ll be interesting to see what is revealed. There was a key art leak where a very familiar Donkey Kong character would be featured in the game, so it’ll be interesting to see if that’s confirmed.
I got to play the game a few months ago at the Nintendo Switch 2 experience in New York (and again in Melbourne) and had the below to say in my preview:
“The thing I loved most about Bananza is that I watched a few other people play it, and saw them discover totally different things to me. This is truly the open world 3D Donkey Kong game that we’ve always dreamed of, and there couldn’t be a better team developing it.”
