Nintendo has once again taken to the Nintendo Today app to reveal a release date for upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive Drag x Drive. The game will be a digitally only release releasing exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 on August 14th.
There wasn’t a heap of other information of fanfare about the game on the app itself (although more information might come soon). I’ve had the chance to play the game twice so far, and it takes advantage of the Nintendo Switch 2 mouse controls really well.
In my preview, I said: “Drag x Drive was the game that probably interested me least purely from watching the Direct, but playing it, it uses the Joy-Con functionality really cleverly and makes the wheelchair controls super responsive. The core gameplay seems fun enough for those that are into Rocket League and such and it’s longevity will probably come down to price and how many people are playing it long-term.”
With Donkey Kong Bananza, Kirby and the Forgotten Land/Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 editions as well as the likes of Pokemon Z-A and Metroid Prime 4 all coming later this year, it’s set to be a great first year for the Nintendo Switch 2.
