Pet the Pup at the Party is a free game available for PC and Mac that literally gives you the objective of finding pups to pet and avoiding other people. You’ve got 120 seconds (which is extended if you pat a doggo) to alleviate your social anxieties by avoiding partygoers and finding all the doggos.
As we mentioned already, the game is available for for a donation (or free if you choose). We’d recommend trying it first if you’re cautious and then going back and donating once you realise just how awesome this game is. It’s not a graphical masterpiece by any means, but that’s part of the charm.
The best part of the game is that there’s all kinds of weird people at the party that shout obscenities if you go near them. They’re just looking at you like you’re an absolute weirdo the entire time, too.
The most surprising thing about the game is that it’s actually quite hard to find the dogs. You’ll need to search long and hard to find them, which can be quite disappointing. You can look at your collection afterwards too.
