The System Shock Remake Has Been Delayed

But a release date is here!

System Shock, the upcoming remake of the pioneering 1994 first-person sci-fi classic, has been given a proper release date – and it’s a bit of a delay from the original March launch window.

Nightdive Studios has announced that the game will now launch on May 30th this year on PC. Console versions for PlayStation and Xbox are also planned but no release date or further details have been given.

Publisher, Plaion, says in the accompanying statement, “We had hoped to bring the game to market by the end of March but that turned out to be just beyond our reach; we are after all merely human (unlike Shodan!)”

System Shock is available to pre-order on Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store and will include a free copy of the upcoming System Shock 2Enhanced Edition for all early buyers. A demo is also available on all three storefront pages.
