Ahead of the upcoming release of the PC adapter for the PlayStation VR2 on August 7th, an official PlayStation VR2 App has appeared on Steam.
The app will enable use of the PS VR2, along with its Sense controllers, in Steam games as well as integrate all of the gear with the SteamVR dashboard and keep everything up to date. It’s slated to launch on August 7th, the same day that the adapter launches in stores for an RRP of $94.95 AUD.

- Play VR games and apps on Steam using your PlayStation VR2 headset and PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers.
- Set up your PlayStation VR2 on your PC.
- Update the firmware for your PlayStation VR2 headset and PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers.
- Adjust settings for your PlayStation VR2 from the SteamVR dashboard, including setting your play area and screen brightness.
The PlayStation VR2 adapter and app for PC will finally allow PC players to use PlayStation’s excellent headset with a wide library of SteamVR games like the coveted Half-Life: Alyx. There are some caveats to using the PS VR2 with a PC, rather than a PS5, with a lot of the headset’s more unique features not available such as HDR, headset and haptic feedback, eye tracking and adaptive triggers. PlayStation says you’ll still get the full 4K visuals, 110-degree FOV, finger touch detection, see-through view, 3D audio and limited foveated rendering, though.
