Speaking to The Verge, Sony’s Lead System Architect Mark Cerny has revealed that Sony will not be releasing a PS4 Elite controller at any point in the near future. Despite the PlayStation 4 Pro obviously targeting the hardcore gamer, Cerny thinks that it would be a bad idea to release a controller that would further separate the market.
You can find his full statement on the matter below:
“We want to keep PlayStation 4 as a single unified audience. We need to be quite careful to the enhancements we add to the controller. But it’s not the sort of thing that’s going to create have’s and have nots.” Cerny said.
The PlayStation 4 Pro will release on Thursday, November 10th for $559.

His reasoning makes no sense. Releasing the PS4 Pro is doing the exact same thing he says adding an elite controller would do.
the PS4 Pro is nowhere near $559. its $399.99.
