Sony has overnight announced that software update 4.50 will bring gamers external hard drive support amongst other features. This is a feature that the Xbox One and even the Wii U have had for some time.
A release date has not yet been set but certain gamers have entered into the beta today, so it shouldn’t be long.

- Custom wallpapers
- Quick menu change
- 3D Bluray PlayStation VR compatibility
- Post status updates to your PlayStation feed
