Ubisoft’s Five Next AAA Games Will Be Cross Gen And Take Advantage Of PS5/Scarlett Features

Ubisoft has today confirmed that their five next AAA games that will release between March 2020 and April 2021 will all release on both PS4/Xbox One as well as the PS5 and Xbox Scarlett. This includes Watch Dogs: Legion, Rainbow Six: Quarantine, Gods & Monsters and two unannounced games.

Yves Guillemot (Ubisoft’s CEO) even spoke about how the games would utilise next-gen consoles, citing that “these games would be optimised for next gen consoles to take advantage of higher frame rates, faster loading times and all of the other features of PS5/Scarlett”.

It’s unclear at this point how the release structure for current gen and next gen games will work, but it’s been speculated that this will work in the same way that Pro/X do in the sense that it should hopefully be the same disc that you use on the current console that uses an update on PS5/Scarlett.
