Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order Is A Surprisingly Long Game

The last few single player Star Wars experiences have been on the shorter side and generally, when a game is this cinematic and has this many set pieces, you’d expect a game around the 8-10 hour mark, but you might be surprised to know (we certainly were) that Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is actually quite a long game. You’re looking at 25 to 30 hours to complete the main story, and that’s not even on the hardest difficulty.

There’s five planets to explore (as well as a smaller final level), which you’ll have to visit multiple times throughout the story, but even then, there’s still a lot of secrets and shortcuts to find throughout each planet even after the story is done.

Obviously, quality is always more important than quantity, but James spoke about this in review:

“Perhaps the most surprising thing about Fallen Order is how meaty an experience it is. Cynical me was expecting something rushed, something with sorely missing features or both. Thankfully, Fallen Order feels like anything but. For one, the main story will take most players anywhere between 25 to 30 hours, depending on the difficulty you play on. More important, however, is the fact that the game feels reasonably well-paced. While the runtime is longer than expected, the game continually throws new things at you that it never outstays its welcome.”

The other thing with the game is that there’s no fast travel at all on these maps (that are actually quite large), so you’re probably looking at another 5-10 hours at least to find everything in each of these worlds. Obviously, there will be speed runs and the like along the way, but I know that many gamers will be happy to feel that there’s a lot of mean on the bone with this experience and you definitely won’t be rushing through it in a weekend.
