Perhaps one of the worst kept secrets in the gaming world thus far, potentially accidental uploads to the Playstation Network have confirmed the existence of the Resident Evil 3 Remake.
The remake was rumoured to be in development following the success of Resident Evil 2, which I personally adored earlier this year, and Capcom’s willingness to revisit their back catalog if Resident Evil 2 sold well.
The images were discovered by Twitter user GamStatC on PSN listings uploaded to the SEN which obviously weren’t meant to go live until later on.
Now on the PlayStation website, which is a little better than "sources".https://t.co/6JqkCxYgMJ

The images show off a potential box art for the game, and a new look for Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira, the heroic duo at the center of the tale. You can also see Nemesis, who looks as ominous as ever, if not slightly more human this time around.
Talk about a glow up!
There is also a few blurry screenshots of the new look Jill Valentine as well as an ominous shot of Nemesis on the streets of Raccoon City.
The game has yet to be officially revealed but I’m sure it’ll turn up at The Game Awards next week.
We’ll keep you posted.
