A remaster of the original NieR has been announced, and its title is a mouthful. NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 — let that one sink in — is an updated version of the PlayStation 3 release that followed a younger iteration of Nier, as opposed to the adult man he appears as in NieR Gestalt.
Expected to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam, the remaster is developed by Toylogic and features fully voiced dialogue along with the re-recorded songs of Keiichi Okabe, along with a new few songs to boot.
When asked whether the game would feature a different ending, Yosuke Saito, producer of NieR, responded “I don’t even know,” leaving fans uncertain and excited at the prospect of some extra content that didn’t feature in the original release.
Though it’s certainly unexpected, NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 is a tremendous gift to mark the 10th anniversary of NieR.
