In a little bit of a surprising announcement, Sony today have announced that three of their PS5 titles will also be coming to PlayStation 4.
In a blog post published shortly after the showcase, it was announced that Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Horizon: Forbidden West and Sackboy: A Big Adventure would all be launching on PlayStation 4. These games were all designed to take advantage of the unique technology in the PS5, and will still play best there, but these titles will also be available on PS4 for those who won’t upgrade straight away.
Purchasing these copies digitally on PS4 will also include a free upgrade to the PS5 version. Purchasing these games on disc also gets you a free upgrade, but only on the console with the disc drive. No messing around with vouchers it seems.
ALL OF TODAY’S PS5 ANNOUNCEMENTS
Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Sackboy A Big Adventure will both be releasing with the PS5 on November 12th in Australia. No date has been given for Horizon: Forbidden Wests.
