As we reported earlier today, Sony has updated the PS5 website bringing a bunch of new information about the console and accessories including the DualSense controller, Media remote, 3D Headset, Media Camera and DualSense charging unit.
PULSE 3D WIRELESS HEADSET
The PULSE 3D wireless headset has been specifically tuned to deliver the 3D Audio made possible by the PlayStation 5 console.
Dual hidden microphones: Ensure you’re heard by your friends online with two built-in microphones, optimally positioned for crystal-clear voice capture and enhanced by noise-cancelling technology.
Controls: Adjust your setup as you play with built-in mic mute, master volume and in-game audio to chat mix controls. Easily check how you sound to your teammates too, with the dedicated mic monitoring button.
Battery & 3.5mm Port: You’ll get 12 hours of wireless play on either PS4/PS5/PC/Mac and it includes a 3.5mm port to connect to wired devices.
PS5 MEDIA REMOTE
Those four buttons that were previously blank have now been revealed to be streaming buttons. The Australian site says that they’ll include Disney Plus, Netflix, Spotify and YouTube. It’s looking unlikely that we’ll get a local version with Stan/Binge etc.
Media playback controls: Quickly navigate media with built-in play/pause, fast forward and fast reverse buttons.
Seamless console compatibility: Power on your PS5 console and navigate its menus directly with the remote for ultimate convenience.
TV settings: Adjust the volume and power settings of compatible TVs with the built-in IR transmitter.
DUALSENSE PS5 Controller
In addition to the Haptic Feedback, Adaptive Triggers and two-tone design that we’ve become so familiar with, there’s also a bunch of other features in the DualSense controller.
Familiar Features: Built-In battery with USB-C charging, integrated speaker, light-bar and motion sensing.
Built-in Microphone and headset jack: There’s a microphone in the DualSense controller for when you don’t have your headset (the controller also has a mute button) and you can connect a headset to the 3.5mm jack
Create button: Whilst we still don’t know the full extent of the create button, Sony says it’ll allow more ways to produce gaming content and broadcast adventures than the SHARE button did.
PS5 HD CAMERA
The PS5 camera will have a built in stand that can sit either above the below TV. According to the PlayStation website, you will need to still use the PS4 camera for PlayStation VR.
1080p visuals: Capture yourself in smooth, sharp full-HD with the camera’s dual wide-angle lenses as you live out your most epic gaming moments.
Background removal tools: With the HD camera, you can add yourself to your gameplay videos while broadcasting in picture-in-picture mode, with the ability to crop the background or lose it completely with a green screen.
