Avalanche Games has announced that Hogwarts Legacy has been delayed from its 2021 release window to 2022. The game was recently announced at a PlayStation 5 event after it had been rumoured for years since gameplay leaked.
In a statement posted on the game’s Twitter account, the developer stated that the team needed all of the time to create the Wizarding World that gaming fans deserve.

The statement reads:
“We would like to thank fans from around the world on the tremendous reaction to the announcement of Hogwarts Legacy from our Portkey Games label. Creating the best possible experience for all of the Wizarding World and gaming fans is paramount to us so we are giving the game the time it needs. Hogwarts Legacy will be released in 2022”
Hopefully we’ll still get to see more of the game this year. From the trailer that we’ve seen and also the leaked gameplay, it does look to be the Harry Potter game that we’ve been waiting for.
