EA has committed to the fact that the next Battlefield is still on track to release later this year.
On it’s earning’s call this morning, it said that the game will be launching in Holiday 2021, will feature all-out military warfare, support more players than ever before with more player agency. It’s also set to take advantage of the next-gen consoles (it’s expected to release on PS4/Xbox One as well).
EA has said that we can expect the game to be revealed in Autumn (March to May). We don’t know a whole lot about the setting for the game, with leaks not being as prominent as in previous years.
It’s always interesting in a year when we see both Battlefield and Call Of Duty games release. It’s interesting to see how the two classic franchises are progressing and differing as they go through their release cycles.
