Hollywood Reporter has reported that Bella Ramsey will star as Ellie in HBO’s The Last Of Us. Ramsey is best known for her work as Lyanna Mormont in Game of Thrones.
HBO’s The Last Of Us is being written by Craig Mazin (Chernobyl) and is expected to tell the story of the first game as well as the second. Neil Druckmann is also closely involved with the project, but it’s expected that we’ll see a lot of things from the two games fleshed out.
Despite rumours earlier today, Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that True Detective’s Mahershala Ali will not play Joel, despite being in talks to play the role at one point or another. It’s unclear who will be taking on this role at this point.
We still don’t know when we’ll see the show hit streaming services, but it’s not likely to be this year and probably not next year either. We’ll keep you posted on any other developments.
