Sony has loved dropping indie and PlayStation VR showcases on the PlayStation blog over the last 12 months or so, and they were back today to reveal six new PlayStation VR games that are coming this year.
AFTER THE FALL IS A NEW FPS GAME FROM THE ARIZONA SUNSHINE DEVS
After The Fall is a brand new post-apocalyptic co-op shooter from the developers of Arizona Sunshine. The game takes place in 1980s LA with four different characters and a load of different enemies. The game will be out later this year.
DOOM 3: VR EDITION IS COMING TO PLAYSTATION VR
Doom 3: VR Edition is releasing on March 29th for PlayStation VR. It includes the entire game as well as the two expansions: Resurrection of Evil and The Lost Mission, which have been recreated for VR technology. The VR technology allows you to peer around corners, angle your flashlight mounted weapons and do quick 180 degree turns.
I EXPECT YOU TO DIE 2: THE SPY AND THE LIAR WAS ANNOUNCED
After more than four years since the original game released, I Expect You To Die 2: The Spy and the Liar is coming later this year.
FRACKED LOOKS LIKE A FAST-PACED MIRROR’S EDGE TYPE GAME FOR VR
Fracked looks like it’s inspired by Mirror’s Edge and it’s coming later this year. It’ll see you traversing areas both on-foot and whilst driving.
SONG IN THE SMOKE WILL TEST YOUR SURVIVAL SKILLS
Song in the Smoke is all about survival. You’ll be crafting weapons, hunting animals and setting up camp in order to survive and make it through the night. It’s coming to PlayStation VR later this year. This looks fairly terrifying. Part of the trailer shows off being chased by a massive angry lion, which has got to be terrifying in VR.
ZENITH VR MMO IS A JPRG INSPIRED PLAYSTATION VR GAME
Zenith is a colourful open world which takes place in the futuristic city of Zenith. It has a deep combat system that involves throwing, blocking and dodging and you’ll also come across other players in the world too. It releases later this year.
