Following in the foot steps of God of War and Ghost of Tsushima, Insomniac has confirmed that Ratchet and Clank (2016) will get an update in April that will allow the game to run in 60 FPS on PS5.
Ratchet and Clank on PS4 was one of the first Ratchet and Clank games not to run at 60 FPS, so this is definitely a welcomed improvement.
As of right now, the game is still free for all PS5/PS4 owners. You’ll be able to grab it until the end of March, and can do so right HERE.
Obviously, this update will only come to PS5 owners, with Insomniac saying that it’s not possible for the game to run at 60FPS on PS4 consoles.
Ratchet & Clank (2016) will be playable in 60 FPS on PS5 after a new update in April! As part of the Play at Home campaign, download the game for free now through 3/31. #RatchetPS4https://t.co/Iw6CMNByFU pic.twitter.com/VEFiW3IMWK

If you haven’t played Ratchet and Clank, we highly recommend doing so. It’s a great recreation of the original game, and is the perfect intro before jumping into Rift Apart later this year.
