Battlefield 2042 was announced earlier today and one of the most important things about the latest multiplayer first-person shooter game is without doubt the beta, which has also been confirmed for the game.
EA said that a technical playtest would take place in Early July (but this would be closed and incredibly limited), with an open beta taking place close to launch, presumably in August or September.
EA has said that everyone will be able to play the Battlefield 2042 beta when it takes place later in the year but those that pre-order will get early access either a week before or a couple of days before everyone else gets access.
The cheapest place to pre-order is currently Amazon. You’re looking at either $79 or $89 based on whether you’re playing on PS5/XSX or PS4/XB1.
Battlefield 2042 releases on October 22nd for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC. Those that order the game through the Ultimate Edition will get access to the game a week early.
