Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy was announced this morning. It’s a single-player action adventure game from Eidos Montreal and it’s releasing on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC.
We had the chance to talk to Senior Producer, Olivier Proulx who spoke about how both of next-gen and current-gen versions of the game are intended to run.

When speaking about the next-gen version, Proulx said: “On both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, the game will have a 4K/30FPS mode on next-gen consoles as well as a 1080P/60FPS mode. The team is also bringing ray-tracing to next-gen consoles, which might either be at launch or very close to if not.”
Since the release of Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4/Xbox One, developers have been very clear to talk about the quality of games running on the previous generation of consoles. Prolx said that it was “important to hit a solid 30 FPS on the older hardware”.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy releases on October 26th. We got to see a bunch of gameplay footage and speak to the team and you can read about that HERE.
