Square Enix has revealed Outriders Worldslayer in a livestream presentation, a huge new expansion to the quietly-popular co-op shooter RPG coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC on June 29.
The Worldslayer expansion will feature a brand-new campaign, new features and mechanics as well as a new endgame for players to sink their teeth into.
The new campaign’s story will see players continue to battle the Anomaly that threatens the planet of Enoch, now threatened by a massive climate catastrophe that sees flash freezing, blizzards and storms take hold. Players will come up against a new Altered by the name of Ereshkigal (who you can see in the title image).
In terms of progression, new skill trees will become available to every class with points for these trees unlocking as important goals in the campaign and endgame are met. There will be also be an Ascension level system that goes beyond the (still present) main level cap of 30 and allows players to put points into new buffs and bonuses.
Also coming in the expansion are 40 new Apocalypse difficulty tiers that up the challenge even more while offering new Apocalypse variant gear with three mod slots as a reward.
Outriders Worldslayer will be available as a standalone purchase including the original Outriders for AUD $99.95, or as an upgrade to current owners (including those who play the game through Game Pass) for $59.95.
