UPDATED: An Unannounced New PS5 Console Bundle Was Briefly Listed By EB Games

Dual DualSenses

Update: The PS5 DualSense console bundle listing on EB has returned, and JB Hi-Fi and The Gamesmen also now have the bundles available. The digital version which was also shared prior has not turned up in local listings. It looks to be turning up sometime towards the end of January/early February with each retailer giving slightly different dates.

You can pre-order the bundle at local retailers here:

PlayStation®5 Console - Two DualSense™ Wireless Controllers Bundle - Packshot 3

The existence of two new PlayStation 5 hardware bundles has been outed and almost immediately confirmed by none other than local Aussie video game merchants, EB Games.

We’ve seen a few bundles come and go now, packed in with various first and third-party games like Horizon Forbidden West, God of War Ragnarök and FIFA 23, but this marks the first time we’ve seen the consoles come with additional hardware – in this case a second DualSense controller.

The bundle was shared by Zuby_Tech on Twitter, who posted images of both the digital and disc edition of the console packaging showing the dual-DualSense configuration, and then very shortly after discovered the disc-based version already listed over at old mate EB for $894.95 before it was quickly removed:

Zuby_Tech also says that the console model numbers are the same CFI-1216A & CFI-1216B as current stock, indicating the consoles themselves remain unchanged and use the newer, more efficient 6nm ‘Oberon’ chip.

It’ll be a big year ahead for the PlayStation 5, having just crossed the 30 million sold mark and with a number of high-profile titles on the way for 2023 as well as the PlayStation VR2 next month – so we’d expect to see even more bundles coming through as stock continues to be readily available.
