Bandai Namco has dropped a free demo for the upcoming anime tie-in JRPG, One Piece Odyssey, which you can download now on PS5, PS4 and Xbox Series X|S.
One Piece Odyssey was developed by ILCA, a studio usually known for supporting development of big Japanese releases like recent Dragon Quest, NieR and Yakuza titles. Most recently the studio developed the 4th-generation Pokémon remakes with Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl.
The game is a celebration of the One Piece franchise’s 25th anniversary, with direct involvement from creator Eiichiro Oda providing new character and monster designs and assisting with the main story. It’s set to be a grand JRPG with a unique spin on turn-based battles and plenty of adventure.
The demo contains roughly the first hour of the game, and will allow players to carry their progress across to the full game. You can grab the demo here:
