Dead Cells, the beloved 2018 rogue-lite metroidvania platformer, might be getting a native PS5 version complete with the recently-released Return to Castlevania expansion soon, if a recent ESRB listing is to be believed.
The listing on the Entertainment Software Rating Board calls out a PS5 version of Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania Edition, which certainly implies that it’ll be a complete or near-complete package with the base game and at least that most recent DLC. Return to Castlevania already launched for the PS4, Xbox, Switch and PC versions of the game on March 6th and has received praise from both critics and fans for appealing both to fans of the classic Castlevania games and Dead Cells itself.
Publisher Merge Games is yet to confirm anything, but it seems like a done deal at this stage and we’ll update once we know more.

The Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania DLC contains the following:
- 14 weapons, such as the Vampire Killer, Throwing Axe & Holy Water
- Two new levels through the outskirts and haunted corridors of Dracula’s Castle
- Three epic boss fights with Death & Dracula
- 20 new outfits like Alucard, Sypha Belnades and the Belmont family
- 51 original Castlevania tracks + 12 re-imagined tracks in the Dead Cells style
- Three new storyline with Richter Belmont and Alucard
- Richter Mode – a secret level inspired by Symphony of the Night, where you play as Richter Belmont with old-school moves and weapons!
