Hot off the back of the news that a Final Fantasy XVI PS5 console bundle is coming (among some fancy DualSense Wireless Controllers and PS5 Covers), another new bundle for the PlayStation 5 has appeared and looks to be launching locally from May 12th onwards.
This time, it’s the first proper bundle we’ve seen going for the digital-only version of the console in Australia. So far all of the bundles locally have been strictly for the version of the PlayStation 5 with a disc drive, including one that contained an extra DualSense Wireless Controller in the box. Now, that’s been extended over to the cheaper PS5 with its own dual-DualSense hardware bundle.
Priced at $739, it’s about $90 more expensive than the standard digital console offering with just one DualSense controller, so it may or may not be good value depending on the prices of digital PS5s and DualSenses at the time, but if it sounds like it’s for you – pre-orders have opened at a couple of retailers so far for a mid-May release:
PS5 Digital Console Dual Controller Bundle
We’ll be sure to keep this updated as other retailers start to offer the new bundle.
