After teases, and some very interesting leaks, it looks like we’re finally going to see what Ed Boon and the team over at NetherRealm have been cooking up for the next big Mortal Kombat game.
Using the same clock motif as the last tease, this time it’s a fairly straightforward message as the clock smashes and the words “IT IS TIME” appear alongside a date, which is presumably when we’ll see the game revealed in some fashion.

Mortal Kombat Reveal Australian Times
The Mortal Kombat reveal is happening on Thursday, May 18th in ANZ local times.
- 11.00 PM AEST (Melbourne/Sydney/Hobart/Canberra/Brisbane)
- 10.30 PM ACST (Adelaide, Darwin)
- 9.00 PM AWST (Perth)
- 1.00 AM Friday, May 19th NZDT (Wellington)

Recently, we saw a leak from the typically-very-accurate @billbil-kun, which claimed that the game will be titled “Mortal Kombat 1” and will launch on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and (interestingly given the lack of last-gen consoles) the Switch. There will apparently be a Standard, Premium and Kollector’s Edition available priced from $70 USD up to a crisp $250 USD.

The game is widely believed to be a reboot given both the leaked title and the context of an earlier tease which showed the same clock hand as seen above skipping past the 12 and going straight to the 1. Whatever the case, it looks like we’ll know more well before it strikes midnight.
