Horizon Forbidden West’s Newest Update Includes A Lance Reddick Tribute

Just before the release of Horizon Forbidden West’s Burning Shores expansion, one of its most recognisable contributors, Lance Reddick, sadly passed away at age 60.

Although developer Guerrilla seemingly wasn’t able to include any kind of message or tribute to Reddick in the expansion, which prominently featured his character in the game, Sylens, in time for The Burning Shores to ship, it’s managed to add a touching in-game memorial through Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores’ newest update.

The memorial is situated on the first island that players visit in the expansion, where Aloy first meets Seyka, and is easy enough to spot at night thanks to its bright lights, and features a bright, holographic marker bearing Lance Reddick’s name.

“In honor of Lance Reddick, we created a memorial to commemorate the profound impact he had on us all,” Guerilla says in its tweet. “Thank you, Lance, for everything you brought to the role of Sylens: your gravitas, energy, wisdom and more. An incomparable talent and friend. We miss you terribly.”
