September’s First PlayStation Plus Essential Game Looks To Have Leaked

Not bad, Boss.

The ever-reliable billbil-kun is back at it again with another early peek into the lineup of monthly games for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers, this time bringing us a partial leak of September 2023’s offering.

According to their post on Dealabs, the headline game for the month with be Deep Silver Volition’s rebooted Saints Row, which launched last year in August to a fairly lukewarm reception. While it might not be a favourite, a year-old AAA release slipping into the lower tier of PlayStation Plus freebies certainly isn’t the worst we’ve had. The game’s also had a heap of work done under the hood in that time with enhancements across the board and a bevy of both paid and free content.

At this point in time, the other two games for Essential members in September are yet to be revealed, but we’ll keep you updated when that does happen.
