PlayStation’s Shapes Collection Figures Are Now Available To Pre-Order In Australia

Six inches of Kratos...

After announcing them a couple of weeks ago and releasing only the first in the line, more of PlayStation’s new series off collectible figures based on its iconic PlayStation Studios titles, dubbed the Shapes Collection, are available to pre-order in Australia.

The figures, created in a collaboration with toy company Spin Master, all stand 6″ tall and feature iconic characters in a decent amount of detail for the size and price – around $50 each for the upcoming figures which launch in September, with the exception of the already-released Aloy which is a “Deluxe” figure and goes for $85.

Better yet – these are live not only at EB Games but also Amazon, where they’re slightly cheaper at under $50 for the upcoming range and under $80 for Aloy. You can find all of them below:

PlayStation says that the Shapes Collection will “deliver the interactive storytelling element of these titles in an all-new way, extending the gaming experience from digital to physical,” which is a marketing speak way of saying that you’ll get to appreciate your favourite PlayStation Studios characters even when you’re not playing the games.

Developers from the relevant PlayStation studios are apparently closely involved in the collaboration on these figures, which are based on the actual digital sculpts of the characters used in the games themselves, and the results are definitely impressively-faithful for the size of the figures. As of right now, there’s no word on more characters arriving in the future but here’s hoping these do well enough for the company to dig even deeper into its IP stores (Ratchet & Clank and Ape Escape, please!).
