Illfonic (the team behind Friday The 13th and Predators Hunting Ground) has today fully revealed its upcoming Halloween game. The game will release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2026.
The gameplay sounds incredibly similar to that of Friday the 13th (which is one of my favourite horror experiences in recent memory) casting one player as Michael Meyers whilst everyone else plays as the citizens of Haddonfield.
The game will stay true to the original film re-creating the atmoshpere of Haddonfield across multiple maps and locations. Interestingly, alongside the game having a multiplayer mode which is the core of any Illfonic game, it will also have a single player story mode so it’ll be interesting to see how that shapes up.
It sounds like all of right things are in place for this one. Friday The 13th had a thriving online community before licensing became an issue and the game ended up winding up, but I’m really keen for this one.
