EA has announced Battlefield REDSEC this morning. It’s a free-to-play battle royale mode set in the backyards and beaches of California in a destructible environment called Fort Lyndon.
Just like other battle royale games, 100 players drop into the world with Battlefield’s tactical destruction playing a big part in how the game unfolds. As part of Redsec, there’s also a new mode called Gauntlet which is also free to play and pits 8 teams of 4 player squads against each other in a series of dynamic round-based objectives giving squads 5 minutes to complete their objectives.
Battlefield Season 1 also dropped today and it’s called Rogue Operations and features three new weapons, a new map, a new close quarters mode called Strikepoint. This will be the season that takes Battlefield 6 through to the holiday season and will have a shared battlepass with REDSEC as well.
Battlefield REDSEC is out on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC and again is free-to-play for those wanting to jump into the experience. You can grab it on the PlayStation Store HERE.
