PlayStation has announced that the PS5 (both disc/digital), PS5 Pro and the PlayStation Portal will be getting price increases globally starting from April 2nd. Whilst we don’t yet have new Australian prices, we know that all of these consoles will be going up globally ranging anywhere from ~$75 AUD to ~210 AUD.

We’ll let you know once we have exact new prices for the PS5 family here in Australia, but it’s very clear that there will be a sizeable increase based on what the new prices are across the world.
On the PlayStation Blog, PlayStation said: “With continued pressures in the global economic landscape, we’ve made the decision to increase the prices of PS5, PS5 Pro, and PlayStation Portal remote player globally. We know that price changes impact our community, and after careful evaluation, we found this was a necessary step to ensure we can continue delivering innovative, high-quality gaming experiences to players worldwide.
