PlayStation announced on Friday night that the PS5, PS5 Pro and PlayStation Portal would all be going up in price significantly on April 2nd, and we’ve noticed PS5s (the PS5 Pro in particular) flying off the shelf in the lead-up to the price hike.
You’ve got until April 2nd to get the below consoles at their currently prices before they go up anywhere between $50 and $200.
- PlayStation Portal – $329 with free shipping (will be $389)
- PlayStation 5 Pro – $1,199 with free shipping (will be $1,399)
- PlayStation 5 Disc – $829 with free shipping (will be $999)
- PlayStation 5 Digital – $729 (will be $919)

On the PlayStation Blog, PlayStation said: “With continued pressures in the global economic landscape, we’ve made the decision to increase the prices of PS5, PS5 Pro, and PlayStation Portal remote player globally. We know that price changes impact our community, and after careful evaluation, we found this was a necessary step to ensure we can continue delivering innovative, high-quality gaming experiences to players worldwide.
