Australia Isn’t Getting The Nvidia RTX 3070, 3080, 3090 Founder’s Edition GPUs

If you loved the look of the Founder’s Edition versions of the Nvidia RTX 3070, 3080 and 3090 GPUs then you’re going to be out of luck.

Despite the fact that Nvidia put up Australian pricing, release dates as well as the fact that you could be notified about the release, Kotaku Australia has confirmed with Nvidia that we won’t be getting these editions in Australia. Unfortunately, at this stage, not only will we not be getting them at launch, Nvidia currently has no plans to release the Founder’s Editions at this stage.

The Founder’s Editions Aren’t Coming To Australia

Obviously, it’s not all bad news. We will still be getting partner 3070, 3080, 3090 GPUs from the likes of MSI, EVGA, Gigabyte and ASUS, but generally these aren’t as nice aesthetically as the Founder’s Edition cards and they’re generally a little more expensive. The advantage is that they are often better cooled and can come factory overclocked.

These are expected to launch at roughly the same time: RTX 3080 (September 17th), RTX 3090 (September 24th), RTX 3070 (October). We will let you know once we have launch details and pricing for all of the below cards.
