LG’s 2021 Range Has Brighter OLED TVs, A HDMI 2.1 Monitor And A New Game Optimiser TV Mode

It was a big day for LG overnight announcing that it would have four TV lines in 2021 including the brand new OLED Evo (which is brighter than the OLED of the past) and QNED Mini LED TVs which will take LCD technology to the next level. On the monitor front, it will release a 27@ 4K 160HZ IPS display with HDMI 2.1 technology as well as 31.5″ OLED monitor.

LG OLED EVO TV G1 RANGE

The LG OLED Evo G1 range is the next generation of OLED technology with 20% improved efficiency and presumed to be brighter. It will come in 55″, 65″ and 77″. A gallery stand is also coming so that you can put your TV on a stand on the floor rather than wall-mounting it.

LG OLED TV RANGE

LG also announced the C1 range which is the follow up to last year’s wildly popular CX range. It will come with a brand new processor which is even smarter and come in 48″, 55″, 65″, 77″ and a massive 83″.

If you’re after 8K, the Z1 range will come in 77″ and 88″ variations and cost you a pretty penny, but future proof you for a long while.

LG QNED MINI LED AND NANOCELL TVS

LG will have two LCD lines of TVs in 2021. The QNED Mini LED TV will take LCD TVs to the next level with better blacks and brighter highlights. It’ll come in sizes ranging from 65″ to 86″ and 4K and 8K variants. It’ll run slightly less powerful processor than the OLED range but will still come with full HDMI 2.1 support and VRR.

The NanoCell line will be its most affordable barrier of entry and that will come with a new operating system as well as the Game Optimiser menu as well.

LG MONITORS

There’s some exciting prospects when it comes to monitors. Firstly, LG is developing a 42″ OLED panel this year (which hopefully means we’ll see a smaller OLED TV than we saw with the 48″ last year), but there’s also two really exciting monitors releasing.

LG ULTRAGEAR HDMI 2.1 4k/120HZ  Monitor

The first is a new iteration of its hugely popular LG UltraGear 27″ monitor. The model number is the 27GP950 and it will come with a 4K resolution as well as 160Hz capabilities. The monitor will also have HDMI 2.1 meaning that you’ll be able to get full 4K/120hz on your next-gen console. Release details haven’t been given yet.

LG OLED 31.5″ 4K MONITOR

This isn’t so much of a gaming monitor but LG will release a 31.5″ 4K display that will have an OLED display as well as a HDMI port, two DisplayPorts, three USB ports and a USB-C port. It’s going to be expensive, but it’s also going to be insanely beautiful.
