Nvidia has announced the RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 overnight. The RTX 4080 will be available in two versions (12gb/16gb) whilst the RTX 4090 will be available in a single version that releases first. As to be expected, the 4090 is releasing first and is an absolute power house.
The RTX 4080 will release second in November and will start at the below prices for the Founder’s Edition (which we aren’t sure if Australia is getting this time around).
Obviously third-party cards will likely be more expensive of this and we will bring you pricing as we have it.
According to NVIDIA, the 4080 (12gb) seems to have roughly 1.5x the performance of the RTX 3080 Ti whilst the 4080 (16GB) seems to have 2x the performance of the 3080 Ti. For the newly announced Cyberpunk 2077 RTX Overdrive mode, you’ll see 3x and 2.5x the performance respectively.
The RTX 4090 will release on October 12th and will start at $2,959 AUD for the Founder’s Edition (which we aren’t sure if Australia is getting this time around).
Obviously third party cards will likely be more expensive of this and we will bring you pricing as we have it.
According to the Nvidia, the 4090 is 2X as fast as the 3090 Ti and for Cyberpunk 2077’s new RTX overdrive mode, you can expect 4x performance compared to that of the 3090 Ti.
The likes of ASUS, MSI, ZOTAC and GIGABYTE have quickly announced their own versions of the 4080 and 4090 which you can find below:
Nvidia also announced Nvidia 3.0 which is exclusive to the 4000 series of GPUs but it’s also going to take performance to the next level.
DLSS 3.0 has already been confirmed for the below games;
To show off the newly announced DLSS 3.0 and RTX Overdrive, Nvidia has partnered with Valve to release a brand new version of Portal which will have insane amounts of ray-tracing.
Similarly, an update will be released for Cyberpunk 2077 that will take ray-tracing to the next level with RTX Overdrive.
