Samsung’s 2023 TV Range Has Been Revealed With A Tasty New OLED And Some Solid Gaming Improvements

That OLED is hot.

Samsung has revealed its 2023 TV range at CES 2023 and there’s a host of really great improvements across the board.

NEW GAMING FEATURES ACROSS THE BOARD

Samsung introduced the Gaming Hub last year, but in all 2023 models, it will now recognise when you also have a console connected, like a PlayStation or Xbox, and show those devices to you as options within the Hub.

Samsung’s GameBar has also been improved this year with GameBar 3.0. MiniMap Sharing allows you to see your mini map at a glance on any display whilst Virtual Aim Point, allows you to view more noticeable crosshairs in any game to get the perfect shot.

THE NEW SAMSUNG Q95C OLED TV

Samsung has today revealed the S95C QD-OLED which hugely improves on the S95B that launched in 2022.

Samsung says that the model will be available in Q2 in Australia in 77?, 65? and 55? variations, and here’s the best part of the S95C. For those of you who like wall mounting TVs, the S95C finally brings a uniform, 10mm display thickness, thanks to Samsung’s One Connect box which wasn’t on the TV last year.

The panel is said to be 2,000 nits bright which is quite a bit higher than the 1,500 nits of the S95B last year. As far as other improvements, there’s now 144Hz support as well as AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.

SAMSUNG’S 2023 NEO QLED MINI LED TVS

The flagship 4K QN95C and 8K QN900C are now even brighter with more dimming zones. Samsung says that the dimming zones have been quadrupled, as well as 14-bit processing which will essentially eliminate blooming.

The big feature in the 2023 line of Neo QLED line TVs is a new Auto HDR Remastering feature. This uses AI deep learning technology to analyse and apply real-time HDR effects to SDR content, on a scene-by-scene basis. Obviously, we’ll need to wait and see how good this works, but we’d have to believe it’ll do a decent job given it’s Samsung’s killer feature for 2023.

It’s definitely an exciting year for TVs. I’m personally really excited to see how the S95C OLED turns out and compares with the QN900C which Samsung has widely regarded as their flagship model.
