It Looks Like The Sims 4 is Finally Coming to Consoles

The Sims 4 was originally released exclusively for PC, and later, Mac users in 2014 but unlike previous titles in the franchise, it hasn’t yet made its way to consoles. Now, according to a Microsoft listing, it looks like we’ll be seeing The Sims 4 on the Xbox One, scheduled for release on November, 17 of this year.

Since we haven’t yet heard an announcement from The Sims’ publisher, EA, it’s possible that the listing is an error on Microsoft’s part but since they are already advertising pre-order bonuses, we’re willing to surmise that it’s correct. Additionally, there are two available versions of the game; the standard edition which includes “Perfect Patio Stuff” as a pre-order bonus and the Deluxe Party Edition which also includes the pre-order bonus plus some extra downloadable content as well as 3 days of early access, releasing on November 14 instead.

At this stage, it’s unclear whether The Sims 4 will also release on the PlayStation 4 in November but due to Microsoft’s exclusive EA Access subscription, it’s possible that PS4 users may have to wait.  Still, this is an exciting development in the world of The Sims, which continues to be supported by a mass of user generated content and free developer updates alike.
